Susan B. Silver

Executive Vice President

Susan B. Silver has over 15 years of experience in commercial brokerage, leasing, property management and financial analysis. Throughout her career, Susan has successfully completed over $400 million dollars of sales and lease transactions for institutional owners, local developers and investors.  Susan understands the nuances of commercial real estate and this skill has facilitated her in selling a variety of product types.  A frequent speaker on various real estate topics, ranging from the valuation of real estate from a broker’s standpoint to repositioning vacant big box retail spaces, she was recently interviewed on NPR where she discussed the difficulties of selling troubled assets.

The culmination of Ms. Silver's experiences enables her to work with clients during all phases of a transaction, making her services essential to institutional clients.  She has provided them with consulting services, assistance during the foreclosure process, and the repositioning and sale of troubled assets.  By leveraging her strong business background with her real estate knowledge, she is able to provide individual attention and a superior quality of service to her clients.

Susan’s experiences earlier in her career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and VMS Realty Partners, where she specialized in taxation of real estate, provided her with the foundation necessary to excel in all aspects of real estate.  In 1991, she joined Benj. E. Sherman & Sons, where she specialized in turning around troubled assets.  In 1996, Ms. Silver and Daniel J. Hyman formed Millennium Properties R/E, Inc.

In recognition of her real estate industry accomplishments, Real Estate Chicago named Susan one of the top 40 real estate executives under the age of 40 in 2003; and in 2004, she was named the Top Investment Broker by the National Realtors Association Commercial Forum.  Currently, Susan serves as an Executive Vice President for Millennium Properties R/E, Inc. where she has completed over 275 real estate transactions.

Ms. Silver’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
